Lenticular clouds (altocumulus lenticularis) are sky phenomena often interpreted like UFO presences. These particular clouds can be generally seen on the top of the mountains, where different wind streams merge.

These clouds have to be a once in a lifetime event. I doubt i’ll ever see such live. If they were a regular occurrence anywhere, they’d be worth a trip.

Eloise, I’ve never noticed these type of clouds. But now, of course, I’ll always be looking for them.

Your comment made me google where they are most likely. Mt. Rainier was mentioned and the Rocky Mountains. Surprised that someone claimed they were most likely in the US.
